Tomb of Merlin

The ruins of this neolithic gallery grave are home to Broceliande's oldest resident. Here lies Merlin the Enchanter ~ pagan druid and friend and advisor to Arthur.

The stones are cracked and the remains have been savaged by fools in search of buried faerie gold. Today the aged holly tree that gives shade to Merlin's Tomb is hung with offerings. . flowers and woven twigs, ribbons and tiny toys.

And stuffed in the cracks on the rock are little scraps of paper ~ wishes asked of a sleeping Wizard who could neither read nor write.
